Changelog
Larger bugs on the calendar and the result of each fix, newest first.
Email alert signups
What broke: Since the launch, some people who signed up for email alerts never received the confirmation email, so their alerts never started. The problem mostly hit browsers filling in forms automatically, and the form showed no error.
Result of the fix: As of 15 October 2026, email alert signup works again for everyone. Anyone who signed up and never received a confirmation is welcome to sign up again.
Country pages without conferences
What broke: Some country pages without upcoming conferences showed "Page not found", Bangladesh among them.
Result of the fix: Every country page loads again. A country with nothing listed yet offers an email alert for its first new conference.
Conference submissions
What broke: For about a month, conferences submitted through the add form reached review without their country.
Result of the fix: Submissions arrive complete again, country included.
Weekly alert day
What broke: The weekly email alert arrived on Sunday instead of Monday.
Result of the fix: The weekly alert now arrives on Monday morning, and nobody received the same alert twice during the change.
France page
What broke: The France page showed no conferences, even with a conference listed in Paris.
Result of the fix: A country page now shows its conferences from the day the first one is listed. A check of all 97 listing pages found no other page with the same problem.
online.marketing moves to marketingcal.com
What changed: After ten years, the conference calendar on online.marketing moved to its own domain.
Result: Old online.marketing links lead to the matching page on marketingcal.com, and existing alert subscribers are invited by email to move their alerts across.
Accessibility
What broke: Screen readers announced the conference list without a count of items. Keyboard users had to tab through the whole menu to reach the content. Several buttons and form fields lacked contrast in the dark theme, and a rejected form showed a bare line of text.
Result of the fix: The list reads correctly, and a skip link jumps straight to the content. Buttons and form borders meet contrast guidelines, and a rejected form shows a full page with a way back.
