Add a conference

Listing a conference is free, and stays free. A new listing reaches marketers choosing which events to attend, and goes out in the weekly email alert to readers following the same topic, country or city.

The calendar lists in-person and hybrid conferences, and every one of them is reviewed by hand against the organiser's own website before publication.

The privacy policy sets out what happens to the details on this form. Reading it is not something to agree to, so it has no box.

What qualifies

A conference qualifies when a significant part of the programme covers digital marketing or is relevant to digital marketers, and when the event has a venue. Hybrid conferences with a physical venue qualify. A conference brings people together in one place. An online-only programme is a webinar, a different format with an audience and a calendar of its own, and therefore does not qualify.

What a listing includes

Every listing carries the name, the dates, the city and country, the topic, and a direct link to the conference website. New listings go out in the weekly email alert to readers following the same topic, country or city. Listing is free and stays free.

For organisers

An organiser who submits a conference and leaves an email address receives one message when the listing goes live, carrying the Listed badge for the conference website and an invitation to share a discount code for readers. The whole saving reaches the reader, since the calendar carries no affiliate links.

Changing a listing

A conference already on the calendar takes corrections through the edit link on its row, and the guide to updating a listing covers the rest. A cancelled conference keeps its place on the calendar, labelled as cancelled, so anyone searching for the event finds the answer.

Links and data

A listing links to the conference's own page. Campaign parameters are removed on submission, since every outbound click already carries utm_source=marketingcal.com. Submissions are stored in the European Union, as the privacy policy sets out.

The frequently asked questions cover how listings are chosen, what the labels mean, and how the email alerts work.
